can i feed my 12'' jardini superworms. well i already did and he loved them but is this ok. also what should i be feeding him for proper growth, health, ect....

aanyone?

i have been feeding my arowana massive amounts of superworms and market shrimp only just to get him bulky, most of the people will tell you varied diet though

well asuming that ure avatar is your aro, he looks pretty good. so its good to no there good for him thanks.
NOW WHAT ABOUT A PROPER DIET?
he used to eat krill. but he doesnt now. he eats bloodworms, crickets, superworms, and goldfish.i dont know if this is a good diet though.

stop feeding goldfish, and start adding some market shrip into his diet. You can feed hikari sticks to see if he will take them or you can starve him to train him on the sticks. Pellets/sticks will probably be healthiest for your aro but won't get him bulky. Everything else you are feeding is fine

ive heard of market shrimp before. is it the big uncooked shrimp they sell at grocery stores?

he usually eats anything on the top of the water. do the sticks/pellets float or sink.

most pellets/sticks float so you should try it, and yes the raw shrimp at the market store is the one you should be feeding. thawed and deshelled.

thanks im going to walmart tonite.

give it some cricket and take out the 2 hind legs. Mine love cricket. I wonder why mine stop eating krills also. He eat it for couple day and after that he just taste it and spit. Mine is fed on 2 different types of pellets and market shrimp with an occasion of cricket and mealworms.
