Supply of feeders for oscars

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I think there are exceptions but I reckon most people only feed feeders for their own morbid entertainment, dietary needs of the fish they are keeping is often irrelevant.

I think im getting away from doing feeders. Still iffy on pellets. Maybe my old fish died from something else... no idea what though. Happened within a few days and he got bloated.
Bloat is normally a symptom of stress, many things can cause stress including illness, unless you have soft acidic water with plenty of tannins I would say 8 years old is a good age for a oscar. Many many things could of killed it I don't think hikari is one of them.

Ok so i got home from work to find at least one dead fish in each of my other tanks. A silver dollar in my large tank and a pleco and rasbora in my 55. I tested the water and it's good. No other explanation at this point i think. Somehow the measurements i used were wrong or something with the safe. I used a gram sized scoop (i have a digital scale and weighed out a scoop and it was 1.2 grams. So it's close and enough of a dose i think. What could have gone wrong?? :(

Put a kiddy pool with a filter in your backyard,if u add some water and some water arum u can get aquatic insects,u can also add guppies.
