Outside Philly
just built a 8x4x3 pond/tank and used 2x4x12 and cut for the sides..I used 3 '' screws on the ends to hold each piece and used L brackets for more support..I used about 17 straight brackets on each side..I used 18 pieces of wood for each ....Is that enough support???? wood bowed a little since being filled up, nothing great...thnx

Pictures would help us in giving opinions but it sounds like it is well built.

it worked for me. Glue the corners as well.

And i also used 2''x4''x8' on the sides and 2''x4''4' on the 2 remanding sides.

Sounds like my plans, mine is full of water now and Im just a worry wort..I might drain IT AND add some more braces in the centers agin..better to be more secure...

Sweet! Looks like my sump.

Put some R-13 batts in the framing and your heating requirements drop drastically.

Then ridgid foam it to prevent heat loss from induction to the 2x4's

And wala, a tank or sump built like an Igloo Cooler. :)
