They arrived.
My IT's that is.
One DOA.
Other is alive.
I thought they would both be dead.
I was expecting next day shipping so I thought they werent coming at all.

The one that is alive is beginning to become stable. Was nearly half black when in the bag.

I tried feeding it bloodworms but it has not tried to eat them.
No idea how long it hasnt eaten for.

Just hope he survives.
Big shock to me that he is even alive.

OMG.

THE DOA IS ALIVE!

He's moving more and more!

I was craddling him with a net so he wouldnt fall, and he swam out of the net.

I think he's going to make it.

I would post pics. But I dont have a light on in my room, or the tank lights.
The "DOA" is dark, but I can see his stripes, he's leaning against the glass but both of his side fins are moving.
Hopefully he improves.
The other IT is just perfect, still on dark spot on his right but he is coloring up nicely.
Also, he will not leave the side of his comrade. Almost as if he is guarding him.
When I get close to the tank, he hovers directly over the other dat.

These are my first dats ever, and I can see why people like them so much.

Sorry.
I didn't want this argument to get into the thread.
Shouldn't have been anything to argue about in the first place.
But it happens, and it sucks that it did happen.

ANYWAYS.
I try and get some pics up tommorow...

sweet im glad there alive and hope they grow into some big fat dats so u can send them my way lol

im glad this story has a happy ending. the fish hobby is a relaxing hobby. i hope everthing works out for the best, best wishes to both parties.

The other dat is doing better, instead of sitting in one place its moving about.

I love these guys.
If I can find some locally, I will deff get more.
The other dat is super active, when I was adjusting my light strip he was leaning sideways to look at me.

Cute little buggers!
My temps at 82F so hopefully the other dat is in full health tomorrow.

I'll have to take pics or a little video.
Prob video as my camera has slow shutter speed.

Thanks for the compliments all!

Just a little update.
The "DOA" is doing better.
Still resting but will swim around some when I come near the tank. The other dat isnt stable, but one side is pretty good.

Very interactive, will follow my hand around the aquarium and always darts to the front of the tank when I come near.

All this talk about dats being shy an un-active, must come from people with TINY dats.

I already want some more dats, and if I can find some locally I will for sure pick them up.

I finally understand the craze.
