Just a little update.
The "DOA" is doing better.
Still resting but will swim around some when I come near the tank. The other dat isnt stable, but one side is pretty good.

Very interactive, will follow my hand around the aquarium and always darts to the front of the tank when I come near.

All this talk about dats being shy an un-active, must come from people with TINY dats.

I already want some more dats, and if I can find some locally I will for sure pick them up.

I finally understand the craze.

Not really, my 6" IT will hide all the time when its belly full. When its hungry he will come out and chases my hand around x.x

I put some F/D shrimp in there, and they ate a few pieces.

They're still pretty active though. I really like 'em.

Pretty active IMO, weaving through plants.

They ate today.
Well, one has so far.
The other is pretty hesistant.

I dropped some FD krill in and within two seconds, SNAP and its gone.
It was crazy, couldnt believe such a small fish could make such a suction.

I had a white cloud minnow in one of my other tanks that my channel cat had not eat so I put it in the dat tank.
Just like the shrimp, gone in two seconds.

I know I should just keep feeding them frozen foods, but it was left over and I had no need for the whitecloud.

I would take pics but my mom took the camera with her today, but she'll be home later so I'll try to get pics up; sorry for the delay..

Yeah, I'm really glad they're doing good.
Still not stable, but that's fine with me.
Probably next week they will lighten up.

I was stressing out because they wouldnt eat, but now that they are, I'm happy.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again if I can find any locally I will pick them up.

Hey guys, I gotta question.

So yesterday one of my dats ate, the other has not.
So this morning I put in a little blood worms and a few pieces of krill.

They look at it as if they want to eat it, but never go for it.
They'll get a centimeter away from it, then swim away.

As far as I know they were eating bloodworms and chopped up earthworms like champs before I got them.

Should I try earthworms, or just keep trying the blooworms and freeze dried krill?

Could someone please advise me as to what I should do.
I could really use help.

Also, I was thinking of getting 3 or more 3'' CL's to help eat the food the dats wont, I dont put much food in, but it's getting tiring to have to always scoop out 4 or 5 pieces of krill and have them go to waste, so would CL's help with that problem?
I just hate seeing good food go to waste when the dats wont eat it.
