Fishing on the beach is one of my favorite ways to fish. I fly fish, spin fish and just about everything else on the beach. So post pics of some monsters you've caught in the surf and bonus points for shark fishing stories and pics! He are some big fish I've got in the surf!

it has been my fishing dream to catch big sharks on the beach but i have had pretty bad luck. the only one I've got was this small nurse shark and my family was freaking out about it(they didn't take me seriously when i told them i wanted to catch a shark). but at the time I was more than extremely happy to pull that nurse in. even though as the video shows my family wasn't.

this week I had some pretty good luck with a big redfish(26.8") and a MONSTER florida bluefish(33.") along with around 6 whiting ranging from 14-16 inches.

have you ever heard of kite fishing? you night have luck pulling in bigger fish/sharks that way especially since your shore fishing. it was cool seeing that baby nurse shark

NIce catches! ANy of those come on the fly? ANd ditch those white frame glasses unless your trying to look like a socket wrench. I wish i had the coast a little closer some times.

nope. not this time. we had 15-20 mph winds so it was difficult to throw a fly.

I used to live in socal and we used to catch leopard sharks all day but the real sharks only seemed to bite at night for us. Might be worth a try, they are nocturnal anyways.

dang! So lucky! Are sharks common to catch?
