Surgery Scars

PSHhhh...that's probably not even going to leave much scarring.

I'll show you a scar when I get home. I'll have to see if I can get a picture of the healing as well.

You should see my Appendix scar!!

Its as big as my thumb and almost as wide. It ruptured inside me and they had to leave the site open to drain.
Had a temp of 105. They had to put me on a bed of ice to get it down. Almost died.

But i dont think i can show you it since its kinda low and my husband might get mad if i post a picture of it.

How would you describe the pain that made you go check?

It was like my stomach was under a vise grip. Just intense muscle cramps on my lower right side abdominal area. Then I had the urge to want to throw up and felt dizzy. Immediately right after I had a fever that came out of nowhere. This followed till the next morning which got me concerned that it may be serious. Because of the location and symptoms I was having it sounded like Appendicitis from what I read.

Yea, after I read that the result could be death is what made me get in my car and get my arse to Kaiser.... I haven't even owned a Fogo yet... I'm not ready to go..LOL

actually, i just measured it. It's the exact size and shape as my thumb... weird.

Got mine out in May.. Mine was just horrible cramps before I said screw it, I better go to the hospital.. What's funny about appendix is we all have scars in different places..

R1 did you get them to take yours out with the scope I guess?

I had the old cut all the way open and remove.. But it's cool I think sometimes people see it and think I'm hardcore and I got stabbed or something LOL

HOLEY HECK... yea, when the Surgeon was talking to me about the Surgery she said either it would be done by the scope (new way) vs old school of having to open up my side. She said it will depend once they get in their and see what they are dealing with is what will determine which procedure.

I guess you get the stab wound and I get the bullet hole..
