Idk on Canadian fishing regulations, but here in the states both fishing for and keeping the fish without a license would be illegal, and the DNR/Fish Commission would crack down on you especially if you knew that you needed a license.
A one day license would probably set you back $20 max if you're lucky, and if you're willing to get the fish mounted (which is a significant cost) then might as well be able to say you caught it legally.
With that being said, I don't condone the illegality of this, but it's still a nice fish (better than any LMB I've ever caught lol); just maybe think it over the next time you decide to fish without a license.
