700 - 1200$ for a gigas in ozzyland

well worth it tho :D

USD 1200 gets you three medium RTGs (or a red or gold aro ... fairly big specimen too) including shipment over here ... a juvenile gigas is USD 50 hmmm a fully grown gigas (5'+) with all out coloration may be worth that much (barely) ... australian fishkeepers are rich people hehehe

Awesome tank btw , you have all my fav monster fish !!

Hehehehe, personally i am still missing a payara (perhaps not for community fish) as welll as asian aro color strains - in pipelines i suppose

"... australian fishkeepers are rich people hehehe"

You are wrong - we are poor because all our spare money goes to the hobby. Bank accounts empty...mine anyways...=)

i'm insanely jealous that you're able to house all of those monsters

:naughty: one day, mate. All in good time. i did not realize i had so many fishes until i sat down on MFK and wrote down how many. ... the feeding bill is getting progressively more expensive (don't know the water and power cos that is paid as part of the whole house). My parents complain that all the fishes meals per day is more than people ... i feel kinda guilty ...sometimes :grinno:

Correction :naughty: Australian people with monsterfish were rich people for the reasons cited :ROFL:I can't even imagine the cost of setting up a community tank. I suppose it is because of the quarantine redtape ... but then even native fish (jar) seems to be quite expensive

Thanks everyone for your kind comments. More pix soon when i brother returns from home (i am stuck on the remote construction site)

awesome pimas dude!

I am in the process of building a temp. separator to prepare to move the remaining two paimas outside. Hmmm, that should free up some space indoor...
