Hi guys,
I have decided that i'm much more interested in the 2 rare Atractosteus species gars and hence have decided to let this rare find go to make space for them. In other words, i'd be open to trading (w top up if necessary) with cuban gars or tropical gars that are without defect.
-The fish is roughly 25" long, has fed on feeders and market shrimp/prawn.
-I'm asking SG$300 for it, trade w top up for cuban/tropical gar is possible.
-Shipping is also possible as long as you handle everything up to catching the fish out of my tank
-Collection will be in thomson
-email alexandtheeng@hotmail.com for further details
-I will reserve for a period of 2 months if an unrefundable deposit of 50% is paid.
The fish has suffered a broken lower jaw when it was much younger, you can see pics of that attatched below.

Discusstion of this fish can be seen here and in this extract from Solomon.
"the "hybrid" is a very interesting fish...the snout issue may have caused a reduction in length (of snout) somewhere along the line...swelling of the nose also indicates something happened somewhat early on. the gar looks like a really thick longnose, but the caudal peduncle doesn't match up with that of the typical longnose (more of a FL or spotted...but since the latter is almost non-existent in the hobby, i would lean more toward FL)."
Since this is a specimen of interest to some gar specialists, i hope the buyer will allow me to snip a small pc of the fin off during transport of the fish to send to them to study. this will not harm the fish and the fin will grow back very quickly.
