Swai Fish total rejection.

I bought a pure white fillet of fish at the supermarket labeled "Swai" and cut it into pieces, packaged and froze it. I have not gotten one fish in any tank to eat any! They eat tilapia & farm raised catfish readily though.

I googled it and it looks something like a catfish.

Has anyone eaten this, or fed it to their fishes?

Now that you mention it, I believe my fish rejected Swai too.

Maybe they got too the tilapia and farm raised catfish so didn't like the smell of it or something?

Mine mostly get Herring, tried tilapia once not long ago which they're supposed to love and none of them would touch it!

My human sense of smell can not compete with some fish I am sure, however the fillets were ivory white (beautiful) and I could not detect any unpleasent smell from them. Maybe lack of scent is the problem.

Maybe try garlic juice on it and see if they will eat then.

i had a swai filet. my arowana loved it. but my oscar looked at me like i had 2 heads.
