Swallowing gravel

My aro missed the shrimp so it got it off the bottom and took in some gravel. I know I wouldn't want to have that come out my rear end but do you think it'll be ok for the aro?

Yeah he did that the first time but this time he took some down because he didn't want to risk spitting it out and losing it to the oscar.

i think it should be fine how big is 1 piece of gravel and how big is aro and yes get sands its better

Gravel no bigger than a pea and the aro is 18"

I would be surprised if the aro actually swallowed any of the gravel. I've watched mine expell the gravel/sand while keeping the shimp/food in their mouth. Either way there isn't anything that you can do about it.

btw anyone know what's the deal with the hole in each fin? This aro had the holes since I had it.
