My GF told me she was thinking about getting a tank for about a year and didn't tell me cause she thought I wouldnt be into fish......Almost brought a tear to my eyes.

Anyways, she wants a green puffer in a 30 gallon (until she gets a 100, yes shes cool like that), should she start brackish right away? Cant any info on when to start the brackish life for puffers.

i think it's straight brackish their whole life, but my guess otherwise would be maybe half adult size? maybe (i really have no good guess too )

I read that puffers will breed in freshwater, but it doesnt specify when the fry puffers return to brachish or salt.
