Sweet free tank!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Ok, Night #2 work is done.. It's getting there. I still have a couple "problem" areas I couldn't get clean but I'm getting close. With the black background you can really see the scratches on the front. I imagine thats going to take a LONG time to buff out :(

Anyone know if I'm going to need to buff the scratches on the background? Do they show up on black?

Craigslist in richmond has been very good to me as well, although all of my tanks have needed a little elbow grease I cant complain. Nice score bro.

Different grit sandpaper.. then some type of polishing liquid. I'll probably buy a kit.
I'd go 1200 wet/dry to start on the deep scratches...then 2500 wet/dry, 5000 wet/dry,all on a sanding block to prevent finger grooves... then follow that up with the 3 step NOVUS system...it works great.... Done a square mile of plexi-polishing...

Can the Novus be purchased at Lowes? Should I hand sand or use my small electric sander? I'm guessing hand sand :D

hey mudfrog, this tank is going to end up being your favorite in the long run with all the work your putting into it!
