I work at a restruant were I give an older gentlemen coffee EVERYDAY lol And he offered me a fish tank for thirty five dollars with everthing included. I didnt even know what it looked like and i told him I would take it, how could anyone resist that! He didnt know how many gallons it was but he gave me an estimate with his hands :D It was enough for me. So heres my new tank, dubbed the pregnant tank. I still dont know how many gallons it is, I filled it up with five gallon buckets to get it cleaned. I got up to twenty gallons and it still wasnt full so Im assuming between thirty or forty. It came with a crap load of stuff including a fish spine, kinda gross. The filter is huge, its rated from 30 to sixty, pretty sweet i thought. My plans is to make a cichlid tank out of it, smaller cichlids of course. I want to decorate the whole back of it with rocks and caves then the dome would be free swimming space. Heres a picture of it. Its not filled yet, were moving in a week or two so theres really no point yet.

Awesome deal, esp since its a truvu brand. That was probably one expensive tank when it was first purchased.

ha nice! Why did he offer you a fish tank at a restaurant though?

When you work as a server to get good tips you talk to people. and if you are seeing the same people you talk about anything and everything, even if its a hobby of yours.. I know been there. I was even told i need to come and hook up with the woman's daughter.

haha iv been in that situation, he tried to get me to leave my boy friend for his son. I told him no way lol The guy goes to auctions and yard sales and sells things to other people. I just happened to be one of them :) Im super excited to set it up, I gotta wait like two more weeks though ugh  It reeks like it was filled with salt water though. Anyone got a tip to get rid of the salt?

I think plants and small fish would look best in that tank. Like a few schools of tetras and maybe a small cichlid. But I don't see that being a good tank for cichlids.

Very nice and good price. Enjoy it. Don't you just love Some regulars they can make your day.
