IMO the epsome salt treatment is harsher and more stressful than netting the fish and placing it in a bath for 30 mins. This can be done twice a day for 5 days. Meth blue is not a very stressful med to use and is helpful in many ways. A meth blue bath can also be used with 1/8th teaspoon of ES per 5 gallons of water. SBN (swim bladder non-inflation) can be caused for several reasons. If the primary cause is an impaction or constapation epsom salt will be a very usfull addition to the bath as a laxative to release the blockage. If the cause is bacterial or due to the inability of the swim bladder to inflate properly the meth blue increases the oxigen transfer in the blood stream and allows the bladder to inflate. It is also useful against some bacteria and protzoans due to being well absorbed so gives a broader spectrum of coverage. I had suggested feeding peas as the first course of action provided the fish eats it to purge the system and if that works problem solved, unless we just treated the symptom not the root cause.Secondarly the Meth blue bath is better as an all around threopy as I'm not 100% convinced swim bladder is the issue or sole issue here and I do suspect there might might be somthing else going on with this fish. If you have the meth blue readly available I would have used it. However you see the fish I only see one picture so it will come down to your best judgement as to wich direction you want to go with this. If neither of these suggestions work we will have to revisit this. I only give my opinion like others, please keep us posted and good luck.
