Swim bladder problem?

Hello. I'm worried about my new marble montoro. I noticed about a week ago he has a "bump" on his back, right side. At first I attributed it to food sitting there but I've noticed he seems to have a tough time planting himself on the bottom. It seems like it's a bubble. Other than this he is eating and acting fine. I appreciate any insight you have.

Great! Thanks. Is this fairly normal then? Should I do anything to prevent it? It's always there to an extent and on the same side.

He has amazing marbles and I have 3. Would never buy another one from anyone else. I have a big male that is beautiful aswell

Often too many pellets especially Sturgeon pellets cause this build up of gasses and for some strange reason Marbles suffer more from it than other species. Try varying the diet a little more and keep the temp around 28 deg C for a while, this will speed up the digestion and also help the ray to defecate.

See how that goes.

Its a nice Marble by the way, bags of potential.
