switched from gravel to sand

Shoulda done half gravel (on driftwood side) and half sand. But still good lookin tank

it never stays half and half, the sand creeps into the gravel, and the gravel creeps into the sand side...long term it's never going to work

i have heard from someone that the pool sand is bad, it slices the fish when they swim on it ? the guy was explaing to me its kills slugs and stuff when they try to go across it , and it wil happen to my fish? he said if they tend to eat off the bittom they will die if they eat some of it. this true i love the look of it so much. and to the OP I LOVE ur tank set up. real or fake plants?

yeah PFS is actually pretty well rounded. I have it in 3 tanks. I am sure most members have it in at least 1 tank. Fish cutting themselves on sand seems a little well, impossible. My fish do take in some sand and spit it out. I don't think fish evolved to the point of eating a grain a sand it would be lethal.

Are the rumors true? pool filter sand stays down because its heavier? I always found my caribsea sand in my fx5 in my old set up. But i like sand over gravel i think. May want to go back. I can always try it in my 40 or 20.
