Switched to Sand (LOAD WARNING)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
How big are those pbass? It does look like one has a bit of a hump in some of the pics so I'd say it's promising that you might have a pair there. Does one ever chase the other around?

Love the sand. And the mix of fish, jar/pbass/bichir is an awesome different mix! :)

So, where do you go surfing in North Bend? :D Is that an epoxy board or fiberglass?

I've always wanted to try Westport but it's to cold and crappy. Living on Oahu three years spoiled me...

all the time one is the boss and picks on everyone was fine and now the one is just way aggresive, they both went to one side of the tank and flared up and charged each other. could this be signs i have a pair or just 2 male fighting

How did you switch out the gravel for the sand? I've been thinking of doing this in my tank and want to do it with minimal mess and while my kid is napping. Any details would be great! BTW looks awesome!

i feel ya, well ist day when my kid was asleep i rinced out 2 big buckets of the sand, the next day when it was nap time i got a net scooped out the gravel best i could. then i had a long pice of pvp pipe and a funnel, i would dump sand in and poor alitttle water on top to keep it from sticking. took 30 min max and it wasnt cloudy, i took these pics after i did it and u can see your self.
