Switching to new bio media

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Has anyone heard of CerMedia MarinePure? I'd say it's some of the best biological filtration media out there but on the pricier side.

Yes. I have never used before, but if I was setting up my sump today, I'd go for that. I like the form factor, ease of maintenance if needed and function and fits in the sump.

If your water parameters are good, your filtration is spot-on, irrespective of what media you use, cheaper is better, allows more money for more exotic fish....my 2c worth...

I used it one my reef for 4 years great stuff pulled it out when I converted to fresh to rinse it out was not clogged water flowed right through .. I use it on all my 300 and 120 now .. Used it a heavy stocked 240 for 3 years in a fx5 fish did great and it was packed .. Use to be called cell pore great stuff pricey but you get what you pay for

On a smaller scale I would have to agree, I currently have a well stocked 50-gallon tank using the CerMedia Bio-Balls and i have had no issues with my water parameters since I started using them inside my Fluval 206 and 306 filters
