hey guys this is something that i've been thinking about doing now, and might be doing soon-taking out the tiles on my pond floor and replacing with a little sand...the thing that scares me about sand is do you guys do any maintainance at all with it as you would gravel-syphoning it and whatnot? i have some rays in the tank right now...so these guys be the sandshifters as mentioned before to keep the sand constantly stirred...
my other question is that I have the pump on the pond floor, and I'm affraid that sand might get kicked up in it, and then in my sump...I guess I would have to elevate it by either putting some river stones under it to build it up perhaps...
what do you guys think?
