Found a bristle star (tiny) in my tank. How do I get rid of it?

There is a white star shaped thing on my mushroom rock. I thought it was a piece of rock, but everyday it seems to be in a slightly different spot (had to take pictures to see it move). Is this a star or some sort of shelled creature?

possible. you usualy find many cool things on your rock when the tank matures more. keep an eye on it and it shouldnt cause a problem. If its a baby star it may be hard to figure out what species it is when its really young. Most of the time, a very good quality pic will help someone on here determine what it could be.

The stringy stuff your seeing is normal. All my coral do this when i get in the tank to clean it. Its a way of protecting themselfs from damage or anything that may harm them. If its not this then should check your water as well just to rule that out.

Just found another star, this one is the classic shape star, white in color, and on the bottom, its has 5 yellow lines from the center, 1 for each 'arm'. It is about the diameter of rice, very tiny.

Update, the baby frogspawn is growing nicely. I took a shot of it with a nice digicam, but no cord to the laptop.

could be a certain star from Phataria unifascialis sp. They usually have a white base and have lines running through the legs. just a thought. Its really hard to know all the species when there is about 2000 different species of stars lol.

Slightly better pics of my frogspawn, growing out of the side of the mother frogspawn.

I have a bottle of Kent's liquid calcium and some DT's phytoplankton. I use half of what the bottle suggests, and every other day rather than everyday. The calcium is added with waterchanges, about 1/3 of what bottle suggests, so it's like a tiny drop.

lol, yeah that sounds good just as long as you dont "never" add it lol. Sounds like all is good, keep up the good work and the baby will soon grow lol.

I got a finger sea fan on an impulse. It was 10 dollars, couldn't pass up the deal. It's yellow with some red/purple dots, with some white feather duster things on it. Looks awesome, anyone have one? Don't recall seeing too many people with them.
