swollen at the bottom of my S.N.G's mouth (1 ft long) due to? URGENT need help

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The fish would likely need to be sedated to do it... dangerous unless you know what your doing ect.. if he's eating ect I would just leave it if it was my fish. It's one of those situations where intervention may be more dangerous then just leaving it be.

I think that he have problems to eat... :help2:

now with this vid, I say you fish has spinal injure, most likely because being in a too large tank as a young gar and having two larger arowana as tankmate. The tongue dislocated might happened when the fish get spoke by the aros then it build up speed and bang its' head into the glass while running away.

I see bloodworms ( horrible food) but not sure if thats rocks or food?... I agree he does look like hes def suffered spinal injury.. and I suspect Hung's right as to the why of it. Try bite sized chunks of fish fillet or pellets that he can easily pick up. he may be outcompeted for food as well w/ those arrows.. imo they need to be removed, removing a fish w/ a spinal injury could kill it. I had a FLG with a similar looking spinal that survived and now looks like it never occured. but TLC, good food, and tank-mates that won't harass it are key to it's survival otherwise if you aren't wanting to invest in that putting the fish down imo is the most humane thing to do.

Hi.
Thank's for the answers.
I think that his spine is ok.
I put a divider in the tank until I sell the aros.
What do you think?
