Sword Plants Growing ^.^

hah its like a messy turd... I should i added them After i was done with where i wanted my plants :x

i have another Question. My Sword has a stubby root and stump... i cant really plant it that good with out coving some leaves that are bent down and up... O.o i got this plant for cheap cuz it was and odd ball... Anyhelp? should i cut the lower bent ones off and start new?

Here are the pic of the swords. The thinner on has lost a lot of leaves. An i dont really wanna pic at it anymore tell i get some back... thats one is in a 60g.

The other is in a 30 with 3 purple leaves starting out. It has a short root system which i cant really bury that good. Its a Stub with 5 roots that are in the ground, not the stud.

it had like 5 leaves on it with a hint of purple... now the newbie leaf is all purple :) i want another thats not so beaten up
 
Does anyone know the names? The 60g fish have turn up one grass plant :x cuz i forgot to feed them his morning.
