Tell you what.... you keep the Syn, and i would happily, gladly, et cetera, take that midas off your hands :)
 
I'd expect a lot of the black to go away at some point. The chances it stays so brilliant is low. Still great fish (both of them.) I hope it stays though.

That Midas. No question about it.
 
For me its the Synspilum.... not just the colors but its shape. That said your Midas does have a lot of potential aswell... I'd personally only get a Midas if it was solid red.

I think I voted syn before, but just changed my vote to midas due to the black coloration. So I guess my vote is with a disclaimer *if the midas keeps the black. IMO, get another tank haha. That syn is awesome & well worth keeping. I feel that a midas with a good amount of black and a big nuchal hump is harder to find.
 
All the black will go away and he'll be orange.

then after that he'll turn white red. He wont be holding any black later. At least that's hat I know about his bloodline

we're on the same page. Yeah I see and like his shape. It is rare. His body is not long like others but compact. And he's plump and chunky with it. I love the Syn but the Midas Personality is way better..

Not trying to get rid of neither one :) Just for fun
