Lookit the subject heading... ;) Synodontis Petricola. Max size is 4-5" and about the thickness of your index finger.

Fun fish... they sometimes cruise as a group, but other times alone... out a lot and don't hide all the time. Often swim upside down on the surface... kind of comical fish. Curious as hell. Whenever I try to net other fish for various reasons, I always get the synos swimming RIGHT INTO my net... heh...

I'm REALLY hoping it's preggo... I should try to put a flower pot/marble bowl set up in a different tank and move the fish.. but that's too much work for right now.. and my only available tank is a 65 that is not set up...

kinda just looks fato. How long has the fish been this way? Have you noticed any aggression by the other petricola?

From what i quickly read the female petricola will become fat with eggs and then the male will become slightly aggressive towards the female.

yeah, that's the same thing I read.. that's why I thought maybe it was holding eggs... but I just wasn't sure. i've been busy lately, so basically I've just been chucking food in the tank, and doing water changes.. no real fish watching....

anyone else have an opinion?

Also, I know a guy who has some syno petricola for like $18 each.. and he can ship them.. 18 is a pretty good price... they are usually like 35 in my LFS...

It's preggo. Not petricola, but lucipinnis.

Hmmm.. interesting... is there any difference between the two besides the linear spots for the petricola and the random for the lucipinnis?

Anyways, thanks for the heads up...
