Synodontis flavitaeniatus

"Flavitaeniatus is more aggressive then the other syno's I've kept but not over the top or anything. I've kept decorus and multipunctatus and they were way more peacefull then the flavitaeniatus. They should be fine with the bigger cichlids if they are africans and probably still with the south americans."

Perhaps your fish was some sort of flav. hybrid (they are quite common), as they are considered by a great deal of the catfish community to be one of the more personable and quiet of the synodontis, depsite being somewhat chasey amongst themselves. This concurs with my experience with the fish as well.

Also, does anyone here have any documentation regarding the spawning habits of this fish? To my knowledge, there have been no reported spawnings of this fish without hormone injection (though mochokids are not my area of expertise), thus, it is hard to determine whether this fish is a cuckoo spawner or not.
