I just Walter to post some Pick of my 3 Synodontis to make sure Im Right about the ids. First is the one i've had the most issues with IDing, and i doubt you guys can tell anything from the 2first pictures.
The nest one i IDed my self as Njassea, not sure tho.
The last i'm sure on the id as a Eupterus, atleast almost. Well its always good to be 100% :D

I'll try to get some more pictures, of the one on the first 2 pictures, tomorrow.

The bottom is a hybrid of the 7 or 1 type: http://www.planetcatfish.com/common/genus.php?genus_id=29#1915

Very common in the US. The exterior is variable a bit in terms of the base color and the number and size of the spots but they are easy to see as hybrids.

If you really want to talk about syno IDs, I earnestly suggest posting on PCF.

One of my guys - the same kind, the biggest of about half a dozen at ~10"-11" TL:

Yeh, thanks. I kinda suspected that im dealing with some hybrids. I've looked over all the pictures at seriueslyfish, and planetcatfish, and i am yet to find and idea on the first picture. The one you id'ed is very active, and swims around during the day. But the synodontis on the first picture, is more tricky to get a foto of. I'll try to lure that one out today, with some mosquito larva, or brine shrimp.
What is PCF? Well anyways thanks for the ID.

I abbreviate Planet Catfish as PCF, not PC.

Njassae is one of the many species of similar-looking synos of not hugely unremarkable appearance. The ID section is indicative http://www.planetcatfish.com/common/species.php?species_id=239 Hence, I proposed PCF. Plus, there is a very strong community of syno heads over there. Knowledge-wise esp.

But w/o good pics, it is impossible. If the ID is that important to you, I'd not be afraid to use a net to bring a fish against the front glass or a photo tank.

Yeh, but i have just been treating my front, so i dont wanna stress them to much, ill get a pick. I have this huge rock, and lives inside :D

One could take the fish out with the rock (if it is jammed in there) and drop the fish in a photo tank = can be any glass jar with a flat front or a small tank, like a 5 gal or 10 gal.

What do you mean? I catch large fish often in an old pillowcase. Small ones that get stuck in the net can be caught with a plastic bag or a large cup / jar, etc. or in a piece of a PVC pipe when it hides in there.

Holes are to small for my hand :D Is there anything these guys, really go crazy for? I fed the mosquito larva the other day, and they enjoyed that. Basically i have 3, 1 Eupterus, the hybrid, and then this little guy.

The Hybrid and Eupterus, is out alot. How ever this guy.. He sometimes bursts around, but never stands still, or anything like that. Mostly its just in its rock.
While i get a picture, wich will most likely be tomorrow, ill give you describtion, even tho i most likely wont help. Maybe it will remind you of one, and you can post a picture:
About 10cm, maybe not fully grown. Dark brown, darker than the hybrid. Small spots, smaller than eupterus. And the fins are, darker than the rest of it (Not black) and with a white glare.

Maybe i remember wrong about the fins.'

A couple of years ago, i used to feed them something i dont remember, i think it was either prawns, or cichlid pellets. They could go crazy for that, but lately, they dont enjoy the prawns, i mean they eat them but not agressively, and the cichlid pellets, i changed brand i think.
