Yes. I have one. Its about 8" atm grew pretty fast too. Lfs in lansing has them all the time. Pricy there, but available.

Are the young ones close to white color than the yellow/gold?

No most are extremely gold young. As they age they get blotchy mine now has black areas and some white too. He was solid gold when young.
