Yep, although many show distinct signs of fading some time in the future, that one is the only fully faded fish so far. That's a nice looking syn Izzy. Is that a faded synXbp in the picture with the grow outs?
I know it is. Tested with three different males, she immediately starts flirting with them as soon as she's alone with them, and all three responded in stereotypical manner. You know how slutty parrots can be, well she definitely inherited that gene, she's very....persuasive with the males, if you know what I mean? LOL!NICE
I like the body shape... You believe it may be a female?
The mother is terrible, she literally writhes on him, from the very beginning too. She saw this HUGE male, and instead of being terrified, she immediately threw herself at him...and mind you she had already done this with his brother, who beat on her more than a little. Needless to say big boy was easily won over, lol! ALL of her daughters seem to have inherited this trait...little tramps.Ok cool
And bp can be some sluts lol

Those are nice. Have you cross the faded female back to the father?

And yeah, there's not a lot of fish that compare to my big boy. He's everything I could ever have wanted in a synspila. Beefy, bold color, and so darn tall (AND thick!) bodied. Out of three males he was the only one to be built that way, and he had the absolute best color of all three. I think I just lucked out with him...

I got at least 30%-40% parrot fry, if not more. But I also got a plethora of different types. Different types of parrot, different types of sb with normal face, only a few extreme sb, several normal bodies of varying looks. I have one (not pictured in this thread yet) that has a blue iridescent wash that seems to cover every scale. An unfaded skkp looking female that EVERY one of the boys seem to LOVE, she has the most perfect wrap...she looks very much like she'll fade, she has that muddy/coppery color they get when they're going into pre-fade. I think I've already posted most of the best of the bunch in this thread, but I'll be updating soon.I never really had a chance. My beautiful male was killed by a stupid red texas that was temporarily being housed in the same tank. It managed to smash down the well secured divider. I lost the parrot not too long after too. She wasn't attacked by the texas but seemed to just fade away after losing her mate. I wish I had kept more fry but just didn't have the room at the time. The first (or possibly second) brood was all I kept and they bred every 3 weeks without fail. Actually I'm not even sure the fader was a she. None of the ones I kept ever really showed any breeding behaviour (unlike Izzys). I think all the parrot shaped ones I kept were female and ended up in a female cichlid only tank. Even the ones I gave to friends (one definitely being male) didn't breed. Strange thing with the fader was that it only started fading after sustaining an injury. It looked like it got stuck behind a rock or something, it was a pretty big wound. After the wound healed it begane fading round where it was then gradually it faded completely. It was maybe 2 years old or more before finally fading (and that took several months).
I'm looking forward to seeing pics of the faders and all the rest. Did you get many that were not parrot shaped. Only about a third of mine were parrot shaped and my female wasn't even that parroty looking but the young were lol.
Here is the only one with the parrot style mouth that neither parents actually had.

This is the best looking of the non parrot shaped offspring that I gave away. It was (and maybe still is) a beast of a fish.
