Synspilum and plants?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
This might be a quick answer.

If I was planning on having minimal number of rooted plants, but some anubias / java fern tied to wood, floating plants and/or just plants near the surface riparium / pothos style with roots growing down into the water column, would a Synspilum just trash all of that?
crinum calamistratum

Are you saying that that plant won't get eaten by synspilum?

If not eaten, but might get destroyed. It's one or the other w/ CA cichlids lol.

In any case if you are going to try any of these plants, the worse that could happen is you lose them. Maybe start off w/ a few and see how it goes. If the plants are ok, buy more plants.
