Synspilum, Chocolate, Sexy Party

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The fish look great. I think they mean aggression wise. I think you might end up with a pair, which might take over a 125g easily. Especially since syns get big. The chocolate might have a difficult time, but looked fine in that video IMO. The firemouths were funny trying to chase off the syns, but the syns didn't even notice lol. I don't see why you would have any problems now though..

Thank you. Once they pair off the others can be moved.

Looks good Dave!

Over crowded in turns of population, size and bio-load? Nah. Not right now. Of course, they're only have grown right now.

At the size the fish are now I see no issues sins do get large i have some that are very large i also have a large chocolate with them with a small fh and a small reddevil and a couple convicts and a couple small blood parrots and a 2 other small fish.. i do my water changes once a week i also run 4 rena xp4s on my tank.. my syns lay eggs my fh lays eggs and i have no beat downs in my tank. i am not saying what i have is good or great ,but my fish all get along with no aggression. PS i will be moving a bunch into another 125 gal convicts will go into a 56 gal your fish look content Dave.. everyone on this site has different views and its their right to express them .. i personally have thick skin ,and i know how my fish are doing ,but to someone else I am way overstocked lol ..There is a thread somewhere about showing your overstocked tank and mine is nothing compared to a tomb of others on this site lol 6 flower horns in a 125 is way worse than Daves or my own.. I love the opinions on this site I have learned a lot ..Thanks for that link DMD123..:)

This post is exactly why I try not to post anything. People are telling somebody with 16 years experience, with beautiful fish by the way that he is overcrowded. Get a life, how many of you people actually have any fish live for 10 years. I might be too old fashioned, but I have seen and had way more crowded tanks. This is a snap shot in time, he might get rid of all of them next week, who knows. I tend to move fish that are not breeding, trade them, etc. It always changes, if the fish are fine for now, or the next few months, you are golden. Who actually keeps fish for 10 plus years, hell how about two years.

I appreciate the support everyone!! I do have some over stocked tanks and I'm well aware of which ones they are. But (to me) this tank is not over stocked.

They are doing well and I'm hoping for a pair. The syns are and under-rated fish IMO.

I'm hoping that the fire mouths are a pair. I'm pretty sure they are male and female. We will see what happens... And if they do pair off they will get their own tank too!!!

Thanks again!! Will keep it updated!

Agreed. This is an awesome tank man. I love the syns. The fish look happy and there's some nice coloration on those syns too bro!

I agree with this too. If it works, and the fish are healthy he is doing something right. It only bugs me when I see filthy small tanks or fish that have obviously have been beating each other up, which this isn't the case.
