i had 3 of them with silver dollars danios kissing gurami, molly and some red striped tail loachs. They tore up my silver dollar's fins until i added 3 more. Its best to have more than less of them. it helps with their aggresion.

Heck yeah. For little fish Tiger Barbs are mean little suckas. I would definately keep them in groups of 5-6or more as they dont become as territorial and they then squabble and fight amongst themselves and dont focus on other tank mates.

not tiger barbs, T-barbs they are completely different

Well, there's my inexperience showing. I thought you were just abbreviating. Whoops.

Even so, Tiger Barbs still rock.

So, what's a T barb exactly?

WayneSB asks what exactly is a t-barb?????..........they reach a bigger size about 25 to 28 cm or 8 or 9 inchcs long have a blackish T bar on them. Was trying to get info., from experienced aquarists who have had them before.

thats all i have to say

This is about tinfoil barbs, right?Be very careful that you don't lose power. Here in Miami, we lose power with every other hurricane. They are usually the first guys to go. 4 or 5 years ago, I had a simple setup in my 75g, with tinfoil barbs and a silver arowana (great tankmates). Power went out for 3 or 4 days, and the barbs were the first to go (and quickly). Arowana made it.
