Special mark? Is that where male has latched on? I have two juveniles currently in a 55 gallon and unsure if good idea to introduce more later.

The two chase and squabble a bit (normally over a moss ball).

Yes that’s where he held on

I’ll be introducing two more in a couple weeks
But when I do I’ll be moving all 7 at the same time into a new aquarium

Really sorry I somehow overlooked this post

I think a group is amazing
Watching them interact all day together
They even sleep together

I just added two more yesterday and they were accepted by the other 5 right away

Personally feel after watching mine they are meant to be in groups

I have them in a standard 65 gallon

I’m moving them to a standard 90 gallon this week because they have grown a good amount and the male needs more space

Saw a YouTube video where the male would bite the female's belly so it sounds like yours may be courting. I could only find one and am looking for more. It is with leopard frog plecos and geos and is completely docile. How can you tell the males apart from the females? Behavior?
