T5 lighting

Hi guys. I'm thinking of replacing my lights to T5HO with two flourescent 6500k and actinic both 54watts. My tank is 30" tall. Will this be enough? Its a fish only tank. Or should i use LED? How many LED do i need?

I know as far as planted tanks are concerned you'd want to be replacing the bulb at the very least yearly

my 1 lamp T5 on my planted tank is still going strong after 4.5 years @ 12 hours a day.

not to de-rail though but I'd have to ask what kind of plants you are keeping in it
from what I've heard (and believe me, I'd love to be wrong on this) t5 lighting tends to start putting out the incorrect wavelength of light after about a year or so, maybe it wouldn't matter much in a lower tech tank but maybe it causes havoc in a high tech tank? I'm only theorizing here, but lemme know your experience...maybe its just that they make bulbs cheaply now and that bulbs back then were far more then decent
