Are you sure you are not seeing the tads intestines?

I can go look at every one of my tads that I have and upon looking at their belly it looks like they swallowed a snail. Their skin is so thin and transparent it is very easy to see their "insides"
Thats it;) Yup its he´s gut

Thank you Coura.

I was beginnning to feel like an idiot. I knew I was right for once and my whole post seemed to be skipped over.
Tadpoles have a surprisingly long gut because they consume allot of vegetable matter and need that to absorve the biggest amount of nutrients possible from the food wich isnt that nutricious, unlike adult frogs wich are insectivorus and carnivorus;) By the way, a long time ago I remenbar seeing a report of a tropical frog or toad species that ate FRUIT as base of its diet but nobody actualy seen they eat, its all known from gut analisis:eek: Do you know anything about it?

Hey, it sounds like you guys know what you're talking about, so I'll trust you on it not being snails inside of him. And his mouth did look way too tiny, but I wasn't sure if he could stretch it to accomodate or not. I would love to make a good guess on which species I've got, but the sources I've found online say not to bother trying to figure it out until it is a frog.

Put up a photo. It should be pretty easy to ID it to genus consider the small number of genera in your area.

Okay. My wife is home and should help me in a few minutes...

:ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:
She won't let me use the camera batteries up to transfer the pics! This is where I either lose all hope or explode back into alcoholism, right? Well, sorry for the let down, folks. You can blame her middle class-upbringing on this one, I'm pretty sure.

Off hand I do not know what frog you are taking about. But you have tweaked my interest and I will look into it and see if I can find out what kind of frog/toad it is. Sounds interesting.
