Be careful if you live in the southern coastal regions of the States, tho. We have a toad (Bufo Marinus) that is poisonous in both the egg & adult stage. It's eggs are a big concern @ the aquaculture facility my buddy works at...they do toad patrol of the outside ponds every morning. I'm not sure if the tadpoles themselves have the poison too...but I wouldn't risk it.
They are relatively easy to tell tho...the 'poles are MUCH bigger (& a gray brown, rather than blackish) than any of the other local frogs.
