tadpoles for food

Be careful if you live in the southern coastal regions of the States, tho. We have a toad (Bufo Marinus) that is poisonous in both the egg & adult stage. It's eggs are a big concern @ the aquaculture facility my buddy works at...they do toad patrol of the outside ponds every morning. I'm not sure if the tadpoles themselves have the poison too...but I wouldn't risk it.

They are relatively easy to tell tho...the 'poles are MUCH bigger (& a gray brown, rather than blackish) than any of the other local frogs.
 
That's great......just wanted to warn other enthusiasts who might be thinking about 'local' live foods. Didn't mean to intrude on you post, sorry.
