tadpolls for feeders.

i fed some of them to my oscar and he made a HUGE mess he just like ripped them up and spit them out i had to clean everything sand plants filter there were chunks of tadpole evrywhere! never really ate them idk if my oscar is just picky or what but thts why i dont use tadpoles for feeders
 
but does anyone know the facts on them tho like can they carry ich or salmanila
 
I feed them to my oscars and FH! and never get any problem!
 
Toad Tadpoles are (amphibians) mildly toxic and if enough are consumed, can kill your fish. Which is more than likely why xenia's Oscar did not actually eat them, but instead shredded them and spit them out. Yes, tadpoles can carry salmonella, as can your fish. It cannot be transmitted, however, to your fish through consumption. Tadpoles cannot catch or carry ich because they are amphibians. Also, why the hell would you even think of paying $1/feeder? Might as well buy Neons. (Or just feed Massivore, Market Shrimp, Squid, etc.)
