So I recently had to rearrange my fish and my taft ended up with my pleco grow outs. He is much more skiddish now on his own. I plan on picking up some dithers but don't want to do the the silver dollars, tinfoils and other potentially large growing fish. To be honest I don't want to deal with trying to figure out what to do with them afterwards. Has anyone ever tried their atf with a group of rainbowfish Do they school together at all? If it doesn't work out they are cheap to replace or easy for me to move to other tanks. If they do last for a bit my girlfriend can be happy that there are at least "pretty fish" in one of my tanks

As far as I know, you'll be the first to try. Get some and take a crack at it and let us know how it goes! Like you said, they're not really expensive so it's not too hard of a lesson if they get killed and/or eaten.

It would be nice to have something other than silver dollars and tin foil barbs for dithers.

I have 3 giant danios around 2-3" with my 4" Goliath and mahseers and it's going good. I have observed 0 aggression issues so far. I also contemplated about the rainbows I saw at petsmart. I say give it a try!

Should be fine at least for a good while. I have been thinking about trying a small school of roseline sharks with my GATF while he's still small enough for any chance at it working. I say go for it.

I think that would work too. Denisonii right?

Haha.. if i have my way you'll all be running 300 plus gallon ray tanks...lol

I'm already a convert. I have a 4x8 footprint 510. I plan on a pair of BDs someday. :naughty:

Member addisonlee kept his Taft with denisonii at a small size. He ran into problems as the tiger got bigger but for the most part it went smooth when the tiger was still small. Rose lines are just more expensive than your average dither.
