I have it in two tanks a 135 and an 80. It is a pain to wash (gives off some greenish sludge when you start to rinse it), but it really makes your tank look nice, HOWEVER, you might want to consider that dark gravel will tend to give you dark fish! If you take a fish from a tank with light gravel/sand and place it in a tank with black sand the fish may not look as attractive as it did with light gravel, it may even lose all its color. My regular Severums got so dark they nearly looked all black. Same with Rainbow Cichlids. Other fish really look great, like clown loaches, gold Severums, etc. Just something to consider. Also, a friend did a test on plant growth in various substrates. The Tahitian Blank sand was best for him, followed by filter sand, flourite/gravel mix, then plain gravel. For me, flourite, followed by filter sand, gravel, Tahitian sand, so results obviously vary.
