rinse the hell out of it. good choice of sand. i had it in my 60g for a long time, then i got ride of it

I used to use this. It looks cool when the tank is clean, but it shows dirt and debris very well, so I took it out. Keep a good current towards the bottom to keep it looking clean and your filtration should pick up the debris. GL

Still having fun putting all the sand? It's a lot work but it's worth the effort. Your fish will be happy that they got substrates in the tank.
