Every time my new male motoro goes by my female motoro near the base of her tail she lifts it high in the air and part of her back end. Is she inviting him to you know:naughty: or what is going on.

He is nipping her on her disk quite a bit, could and could this mean she want's him to spawn with her, or they have or what, I just really have no idea.

When she is fed up with him she will bite him back or pin him to to ground.

Yeah me either, maybe sombody will have an idea. If not I will just call rvrrays. So just make it easy for me Colin and when you see this post again give me an idea, lol.

My old female used to do that too, she would make sort of a j shape with it and then hit the male in the head with the bottom part of it when he started biting. They mated a few months later, but I dont know if she continued this because they were no longer in my care.

Hope that helps some

Andy,

I don't think it means anything significant.

She may just be sick of him trying to bite at her. I am sure she can handle him when she wants to.

This will be a good Fall/Winter for you and the rays.

They are not generally aggressive toward each other. However, they will not heistate to defend themselves.

A male histrix of mine was constantly biting at the rear edge of the female histrix's disc. I witnessed her elevate the spine from the tail, bend the tail around and use the spine like a needle on a sewing machine on the front of his disc.

She hit him three good times and he backed off. The accuracy with which she used her tail spine was amazing.
