I’ve been to HK and Taiwan fish street. The Taiwan fish street is small, just one side of a street, and not well known. The taxi driver had not heard of it and I had to google the address for him. HK fish street is large, well known, covering multiple blocks and floor. Specially stores such as arowana, discus, flower horn, angel only, etc are on upper floors, and only local, serious hobbyists visit.

Very nice lfs! Sadly where I am now has practically no fish stores besides pet smart. I do have lots of pictures from fish stores in Ontario when I lived there.
that the same in my area. all the lfs are either closing down or moving further away from the city were the rent is cheaper.

It’s the opposite in Asia. Most stores I visited in HK, Taiwan and Japan are small mom and pop owned, and I haven’t noticed any big chain. When I visited Toronto, I like to browsed fish stores and there are many independents, specially near Scarborough where large Asian population reside. The only big chain stores are Big Al, but the fish rooms have huge varieties and operated like independent .

Care to post and UK LFS pics?
The UK LFS are not on this level, may be some are but I haven't seen them. You're not missing much believe me :) I'm from Wales so the local stores are a bit limited. London England have probably got some very nice ones but I haven't been there to check them out.

This store is an exception in cleanliness and order. Most shops have a store front of about 4-5m and after literally packed to the rafters.
You often have to ask someone working there to help you get a light down as it's unreachable.
In one of my favorite stores, you actually have to lean forward to see the fish as the floors are lined with bags of substrate. To pass another person in these shops you have to turn sideways of it wouldn't work.
Having said that, I will forgo space for variety.

Quite a few shops have closed down as the online market grows here. Other stores have gotten even better as they have gone online in a big way and use their shop as a warehouse.

Forgot I took these.
Visited a mom 'n pop fish farm. They had a very rustic area for sales to public with meh fish and decent priced odds and bobs. Duckweed as if it was free.
There was a section closed off to the public that was a lot neater and from what I could make out is where they breed and keep their fish for wholesale.
