I saw this fish at my LFS earlier today. Labelled as the Taiwan torrent carp (Acrossocheilus Paradoxus), suggesting it prefers a decent flow of water movement.

I've never seen them before. Max size is favourable, (20cm max). I was sorely tempted to buy a group but at that price I'd need to spend over £100 to get a suitable pack, plus I've got a lot going on already in my 360. So I passed on the opportunity.

I did a quick search for them on here, but nothing came up. I wonder if anyone on the site has heard of them, or indeed even has them. I think they're a great fish, what do you think?

They look nice. I wonder if cockroach cockroach knows anything about them, I believe they're from Taiwan?

Would be great in a large bodied River tank.

I kept these, or their very close cousins, in my 75gal river tank.
Great fish I really like them. They are FAST and need space to dart. Can be quite robust with each other and a tad active for a slow moving tank IMO.
The love current and effortlessly dangle in place.
During feeding they are fast and can hoover up food. Not demanding at all if they have some water to swim into.
They can be skittish when larger or they feel insecure so a group is a good idea.
