apparently my wholesaler seems to have a few of these in stock this week. Any tips on properly identifing juveniles, or maybe some pics, so I can be sure I'm getting the right one? What should I expect to be paying, so I know it's not a hoax?

Be carefull. Many people claim to sell cuban gars and they are really tropical gars. It's hard to tell them apart when really small. When they get some size the cubans don't have any spots on the body. Post some pics of the fish and I or someone else will help identify them.

Thats the part that sux, I can't see em before I buy em. I'm gonna pass, goin on a hunch judging by the distributors past of having a bunch of the "almost" fish, and never what I'm really looking for!
