"lutino" means: Albino with normal eyes - due to some rare local pigments. Lutinos are known from endlicheri, ornatipinnis and senegalus. Sometimes ten ground coloration is that yellowish white - but the pattern is still present.

The term for this type of albinism is "Leucism".
When expressed, the fish is "Leucisitc", commonly referred to as 'platinum' in the tropical fish hobby. It is the lack of pigment, not the lack of pigment production (true albinism), which is why the eyes are normal.
'Lutino' is a term used in keeping birds (not an actual scientific term to describe any form of albinism) that is used to label a color variation.
It was adopted incorrectly by the keepers of Oscar's (Astronotus), to describe 'albino' oscars that still had blotches of black pigment (melanin). Why? I'm not sure.
