somewhere
hi, im new here xD

as you guys know, floridas unusually cold weather is killing off invasives, and its also making it easier to go get rid of them ourselves

i caught 50 plecostomus (almost all with my hand, some with a dipnet)
as well as 4 tilapia in about 4hrs

i also saw about
7 tilapia
4 plecos
and a walking catfish all dead

theyre just not feeling this weather xD

i had only caught 1 adult plecostomus, and about 4 adult tilapia, when it was warm, and ive been here for a few years
(babies are a different story, tmtc)

I think he means snake heads. So are you going to keep the plecos?

i took pics with my phone, no idea how to get them off =/

unfortunately i cant keep 50 plecostomus ranging from a few inches to 2ft

so i left them on the banks

i saved one for my pond though

i hate doing this, but its the right thing to do

Not necessarily. Look at the other thread thats active right now....the consensus seems to be that the invasives inhabit canals that are otherwise too hot for natives.
