Taking care of ducks/ducklings ?'s

Can anyone give me a crash course in Duckology?
Just the basics, tips/hints/pointers.
I'm going to be taking care of a duckling or two for a little while, until theyre large enough to live in an outdoor enclosure a friend of mine has.
Any help is appreciated!!!

keep them warm and dry. use starter food from your farm market. keep their hind ends clean so they dont get clogged up. once feathers start comin in your good

I've raised ducklings and chicks before. They can be fun but they become messier as they grow. Unstoppable has given good advice.

They dont heave feathers yet, still the soft down type.
They dont need an area to swim at this point do they?
I'm going to be keeping them in a 1'x1'x1' for a little bit with a red bulb heat lamp, or I may just use a thermostat. Kind of like an incubator?

I'm also getting help from the friend Im taking care of them for, as they already have adult ducks and chickens.

a 75 watt bulb is fine for heat. no need to cook em. water in a watering can so they dont get wet, and keep em clean

They're about three weeks old.
At this stage, I've read a heat lamp isnt needed if being kept indoors?

Hmm.
I think I've got theyre hatch date mixed up.
Let me find out the real age of them and I'll get back to you.

Hatch date was three days ago.
Can this same information be used in taking care of chicks aswell?

3 days and 3 weeks is a huge diff. basiclly chicks are similar. remember warm, dry, clean! i gotta ask where you are getting babbys this time of year?
