I don't see why they couldn't all breed, but you would have to remove any fry to grow them out. The chances of fry surviving with comps and julies is close to zero.

Yup great advice they are both great fry eaters. Comps were built for it! Julies as well.
 
You can have 4 species in that size tank. I don't see why any of them would not breed, but chances are all the fry will be eaten.

My Julies lived on Multie fry but I still went from 4 multies to over 40 in a year. Multies seem to do the best with tons of shells and huge colonies. Other shellies don't guard their fry as well.
 
I say this on pretty much every thread about Tanganyika! Cyprichromis Leptosoma "Utinta." A group of 6-9 would be great in a 4 foot long tank! They are an open water tang that is a mouthbrooder! Also have great colors!
