Hi,

I currently have a 150L tanganyikan tank filled with various fish such as Calvus, Cylindricus, Julidichromis, Brichardi, Lelupi and a Senegal Bichir.

Every now and then the fish don't finish their food and I usually have to net it out. Can anyone suggest to me a good fish which would pick up all the scraps that these fish don't eat?

I previously thought of using some plecos but they generally cause too much waste (the larger plecos that is). I thought that bristle nose would just be too slow and would probably get picked on by all the other fish...

Would loaches be ok? Do they scavenge off the floor? Does anyone else know any type of fish that would be ok in those water conditions and with these kind of fish?

Thanks

Dan.

I have seen some people use various Botia loaches in African tanks. You could also get some Synodontis cats

deffinately Synos... and try cutting your food back to smaller more often meals. my Bichir's are garbage disposals. maybe get another? 150L.. my math is horrid. so not sure what that ='s to gallon wise.

syno petricola and the one like it thats a little bigger haha i forgot its name

Synos. for sure. Loaches could work, but not if you add buffer or dose anything.
